Positive Life Skills

Are you enjoying your day-to-day life? Are you achieving your goals? Are you happy with your work, and your relationships? Learning and embracing Positive Life Skills can help you achieve all this, and more.

With Positive Life Skills you reduce the risk of:

The good news is that Positive Life Skills aren′t just born in some people - they can be taught, and learned.

What are Positive Life Skills?

Positive Life Skills include self-reliance, a positive self image, tolerance of others, effective communication, and conflict resolution. They can help you to feel more confident, enjoy your day-to-day life more, overcome problems and achieve your goals.

How can a therapist help?

It can be hard to develop Positive Life Skills without the help of a qualified psychotherapist. This is because much of our behaviour stems from our experiences, our view of the world and our hidden attitudes, and these can be difficult to understand or change without expert help. A therapist will work with you to understand the patterns of your behaviour and emotions, so that you can better learn and develop Positive Life Skills. They may use specific approaches, tailored to your circumstances, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
